Who is Tom Ramsey?

Some say that Tom is a Renaissance Man. Others say he can’t decide what to be when he grows up. Tom is a lobbyist and Partner in Athena Government Relations, and is the President and founder of Ivy & Devine Culinary Group. When not working as an advocate of his lobbying clients at the Capitol or teaching private cooking lessons in the homes of his culinary clients, you might find him writing fiction, recipes or political essays. You might even find him running with the bulls or producing a record. There’s really no way of knowing for sure what he might be up to, but rest assured, he won’t be bored.

Before lobbying and cooking, Tom spent most of his professional life as an investment banker with offices in Jackson, Mississippi, New York, New York and Hamilton, Bermuda but now he stays closer to his Southern roots where he really wishes that he could just cook, write and hone his skills as a raconteur. Tom lives in Jackson, Mississippi with his wife, four kids, three cats and one Guinea pig.

Tom is the founder of Ivy & Devine Culinary Group. The company, based in Jackson, Mississippi, provides its customers with private cooking lessons, private chef services and develops and distributes gourmet food products. Ivy & Devine is currently seeking franchise partners in other cities around the country.

Tom is also a founding partner of Ivy & Devine Productions which is currently developing both a television and a radio program focused on food and entertaining

Booking Tom for an appearance or event is a different story. Since he is so, so bad with details, all bookings are handled by his business partner, Kim Brown. She is far more reliable and responsible and Tom doesn’t really know what is on his schedule until Kim confirms it. It’s not really Tom’s fault...It’s not easy juggling a gavel, a pan and a pen.
